Introduction of Borders to
Tirriki
With worsening arthritis the
gathering of years (yes this is written by Bianca
and I am trying to be nice!) the decision was made
by Mum and Dad to get an ‘old persons dog’ – little
did they know that there was more work in the
Borders coat than an IWS, and they like to be shown
not much slower than the IWS.
Thanks are due to Emer Mooney in Eire, (breeder of
Borders & Current IWS Grand Ch Yehudi of Currabell (Imp
Eire)) for all her help & support in this madness,
Toni McNeil for words of wisdom & to Delma Nelson
for breeding our first girl Shirley. We would also
like to thank those that have supported us in our
new venture in the dog world and you know who you
are without me naming everyone but I do feel the
need to mention the mentoring role that Pamela and
Garth Harding have taken on.
From the offer of a
bed for our first trip to Canberra Royal in many
years (after meeting for 5 minutes whilst judging in
Adelaide – truly amazing) to the support, guidance,
advise and just time lavished on us will never be
forgotten. To Garth, I owe a HUGE thanks – Canberra
Royal is the ONLY show that Matt likes to now go to
as he gets to catch up with you and that makes my
life a whole lot easier!
