Ash was bred by Nancy Wiley at
Arlington, Washington . Her name is Irish for dream,
vision. We had a vision that she would compliment
Casey's breeding perfectly and be the ideal bitch to
restart our Irish Water Spaniel lines.
Ash, the first titled overseas IWS to
grace our shores, is the first bitch to attain the
prestigious title of Grand Champion and first to go
Best in Show in this country.
We will be forever deeply
appreciative to Nancy for our precious girl who has
enriched our lives.

Aislinn’s name is Irish for dream,
vision, so very apt for this exceptional bitch.
The 5th IWS to be awarded Best In Show, her
outstanding qualities have been acknowledged, albeit
taking a backseat to her companion, Casey, Grand Ch
Yehudi of Currabell (Imp Eire).
She is the dam of Australia’s ONLY GRAND CHAMPION
All Breeds BEST IN SHOW sister and brother duo,
Grand Ch Tirriki Carragh O’Casey and Grand Ch
Tirriki Ciaran O’Casey CCD CD JD, both of whom have
inherited many breed specific characteristics from
Ash. Until she stepped out of the ring for maternity
duties April 2008, Carragh was the most awarded
Australian bred IWS, Ciaran is the most awarded
Australian bred male. Her other daughter, Ch Tirriki
Ciara O’Casey gained her bench title with ease.
The vision that we had when bringing Ash here has
become a reality–her contribution to elevating the
quality of the breed in this country is acknowledged
by the outstanding continuing achievements of her
progeny.
It was a family affair at the most
prestigious show in the southern hemisphere in 2005
and 2006, the Royal Melbourne Show, with the family
taking out all major breed awards.
A dedicated retriever, particularly
of Canadian street hockey balls, Ash has passed this
addiction on to the kids.
Her other great passion is her
much-loved squeaky kangaroo. After several years it
is slightly the worst for wear, but still her
favourite. (Not necessarily shared by us in the
very early hours of the morning!)
It was our great pleasure to host
Ash’s breeder Nancy in 2004. Nancy travelled to
some of our regular circuits with us. To our
delight, she was here to see Ash gain the final
points to make her the first GRAND CHAMPION Irish
Water Spaniel bitch in Australia.
Ash has been enjoying her semi
retirement allowing her daughters and grand
daughters to shine. She has appeared on only a
handful of occasions over the past couple of years
where she showed that the good ones last forever.
Nancy, Thank you for our girl
